Driver jobs in Kolkata, without an agent
Most driver jobs in Kolkata are found through agents and word of mouth, and an agent who places you often keeps taking a cut of your salary afterwards. Sevetu is the other way round: families post the job, you apply directly, and nobody stands between you and your pay.
Driving work in Kolkata: what is different here
Kolkata driving is dense, narrow and slow: the EM Bypass and the bridges at peak hour, school runs through Ballygunge and Salt Lake, and the odd long run to the airport at Dum Dum.
Many driving posts from Kolkata families also cover Howrah and Salt Lake, so say which routes and which sides of the city you know well. A driver who already knows the school run and the office commute a family needs gets shortlisted ahead of one with more years but no local knowledge.
Most posts on Sevetu in Kolkata come from Salt Lake, New Town, Ballygunge, Behala, Jadavpur, Garia, and the areas between them. Set your own area first: families sort applicants by distance, and someone who can reach them at the same time every morning is chosen over someone cheaper who lives across the city.
