Sevetu is a marketplace that connects households with the people who do household work. You post what you need, verified service providers apply, and you choose, the same way hiring works everywhere else, except that this is one of the few jobs in India where it normally does not.
The usual route is a broker with a phone full of numbers, a placement fee of about a month’s salary, and a stranger starting on Monday with nothing checked and nothing written down. Sevetu replaces all three parts of that: an identity-verified profile before you speak to anyone, a conversation before you commit, and the salary, hours and weekly off recorded in a digital work agreement you both accept. Sevetu does not employ or supply anyone and takes no commission. You hire the person and pay them directly.

The maid app: how hiring a maid works on Sevetu
Searching for a maid app usually means one of two things: a place to find a regular maid for your home, or a way to book a one-off clean. Sevetu is the first. You post the job (the rooms, the days, the hours, the pay), maids in your area who are ID-verified apply, and you talk to them in the app before deciding. What you both agree goes into a digital work agreement.

The nanny app: childcare, school runs and babysitting
A nanny is hired differently from a maid or a cook, and the app reflects that. Post the age of the child, the hours you actually need covered and whether the role includes the school run, and nannies near you apply. You see what age ranges each person has cared for before you speak to anyone.

The japa maid app: newborn and post-delivery care
Japa work is booked in fixed blocks, usually somewhere between four and twelve weeks after a birth, so it is the one role where timing matters more than anything else. Post the dates you expect to need and japa maids apply against that window.

What you post barely changes between cities, but who answers it does. Supply, going rates and the local word for the job are all set street by street rather than city-wide, so posting your actual locality rather than just the city name is the single thing that gets more of the right people applying.
