The real cost

What you pay is the salary, and it goes to the worker

When a family hires through Sevetu, the cost of hiring is the salary itself. The household and the worker agree it in the app, along with the hours, the weekly off, leave and notice, and record it in a digital work agreement. The household then pays the worker directly, by whatever method the two of them agree. Sevetu is not in the middle of that payment and takes no share of it.

What a cook, maid, nanny, japa maid, driver or elder-care attendant earns depends on the hours, the tasks, live-in or not, and the city. Each role page explains what sets the rate, and the Bangalore salary guide gives ranges for one city. Sevetu publishes no per-city salary table for other cities, because no source supports one.
